The Continuing Education and Business Services Division at Hagerstown Community College has partnered with Mainstreet Waynesboro Inc.’s Economic Development Committee to offer business seminars in the Waynesboro area.
Mainstreet Waynesboro, Inc. is designated by the Pennsylvania Downtown Center to oversee Waynesboro’s Main Street program. Main Street, a nation-wide movement of the National Trust for Historic Preservation, is a comprehensive, community-based approach to revitalizing downtowns and central business districts. The goal of Mainstreet Waynesboro, Inc. is to create and maintain strategies that retain and recruit permanent businesses and other community resources in Waynesboro, Pa.
“By bringing seminars that HCC already offers directly to Waynesboro businesses, and formatting them in a way that is convenient for the small business owner, HCC and Mainstreet Waynesboro are working together to help businesses be more successful,” said Tom Moore, economic development chair, Mainstreet Waynesboro, Inc.
Planning for future business seminars is currently under way. In order to provide a wide range of relevant topics, HCC is seeking input from the public.
