On March 8 and 9, Hagerstown Community College will hold its first film festival featuring original work by local, amateur filmmakers.
Sponsored by HCC’s Robinwood Players Theater Club, the festival is open to local high school and college students, as well as amateur filmmakers not currently enrolled in school. High school students can be any age, but must be currently enrolled at a school in Washington County; Franklin County, Pa.; Berkeley County, W.Va.; or Jefferson County, W.Va. College students must be currently attending a two- or four-year college in western Maryland, eastern West Virginia, or southern Pennsylvania. Amateur filmmakers should live and reside in the local, tri-state area.
Work can be submitted by a team or by an individual. All film submissions are shorts and must run 10 minutes or less. Film categories include:
All submissions must be accompanied by a short synopsis of 50 words or less. Film entry fee is $25 per team or individual.
