Human Services may be broadly defined as all those systems of services and occupations that concentrate on improving or maintaining the physical and mental health and general well-being of people.
Social work is the professional activity of helping individuals, groups, or communities enhance or restore their capacity for social functioning. This may include helping people with tangible services like food and housing, or providing counseling or psychotherapy services to people in need. What does social work really mean? It means that social workers can be in a position to help people deal with most anything.
