The Hagerstown Community College Alumni Association will host the 229th U.S. Army Guard Band as part of its annual Red, White and Blue Summer Concert Series, on Wed., June 30, at 6 p.m., in HCC’s Alumni Amphitheater.
The 229th U.S. Army Band has been part of the Maryland National Guard for most of the 20th century. Under the direction of bandmaster Staff Sergeant Daniel Stinchcomb, the band performs contemporary, popular, and traditional military music for military ceremonies, concerts, parades, and other public events.
This concert is free and open to the public. The Red, White and Blue Summer Concert Series is sponsored by the Hagerstown-Washington County Convention and Visitors Bureau, the Joint Veterans Council, and Amvets Department Service Foundation, Inc.
