Solar PV Installer Certificate of Competency*
More and more, solar photovoltaic (PV) systems are being used to produce electricity for homes and businesses. The industry is expected to grow dramatically over the coming years. This course covers all the basics needed to be a successful PV installer. Content includes sizing and designing a system, components of a PV system, the mathematics of PV system design, basic electrical concepts, and more. Two Saturdays included for field activities.

Review for the NABCEP Entry Level exam and demonstrate your knowledge of the fundamental principles of the application, design, installation, and operation of Solar PV and Solar Heating systems. Class includes a proctored NABCEP Entry Level Exam following review session. Note: candidates must have completed an approved NABCEP 40-hour course such as TRD 023, Solar PV Installer, to qualify for the exam.

Certified ICC Residential Energy Inspector/Plans Examiner
This course addresses provisions in the 2009 International Residential Code (IRC) and the 2006 International Energy Conservation Code (IECC). This course provides a basis for the correct use of the code in the design, plan review, inspection, and analysis of projects. Provides a clear understanding and correct use of the requirements identified by these basic code provisions, tables and categorizations allow code users to apply the code in clear-cut situations, and helps to build their understanding of the intent of the code when asked to make code compliance decisions.

Introduction to Alternative Energy*
Renewable and alternative energy are options available today for residential and commercial electrical consumers. Understanding which options are available and how they benefit can help you or your organization stay viable in today's global market.
