Patient Care Technician
Certificate

Curriculum/Courses Needed:
NUR 121 Certified Nursing/Geriatric Assistant   7 credits
MAP 102 Medical Terminology   3 credits
PLB 105 Phlebotomy   3 credit
NUR 124 Introduction to Health Science   3 credits
Certificate 16 credits
 
Prerequisite:
  • Current American Heart Association Health Care Provider CPR (adult/pediatric)
  • Completion of health examination form
  • Negative TB test within one year or chest x-ray within three years

Program Description:
This program prepares the nursing/geriatric assistant to expand career opportunities into various long-term and acute care settings. The additional skills acquired in this program equip students to be cross-trained, multi-skilled workers.
