Equipment Reservations
• Reservations are available only to HCC
faculty and staff. Students must have faculty sign out
equipment for class-related use.
• Equipment must be used on campus (including
Valley Mall). Exceptions may be made for
one-time, one-day use. See “Computer
Issues” for laptop information.
• Reservations must be at least 48 hours
in advance. Requests submitted on weekends cannot
be filled until the following Wednesday.
Equipment Repair
• Please notify LT immediately upon discovering
a problem.
• The sooner we know, the sooner we can
fix it or replace it.
Computer Issues
• LT is happy to help with any questions
you may have.
• We are the primary contact for instructor’s
workstations in classrooms and labs.
• We cannot fix student workstations.
• Laptops are available from the Library
for use off-campus.
• We may refer problems to IT as deemed
necessary.
Training
• User training in classroom technology
(equipment) is available either one-on-one or
for small groups. We can also provide
provide Blackboard and student email orientation.
• Training sessions should be held 2 to
3 days in advance of using the technology. Please
contact us at least a week before
you need to use something requiring training.
• One-on-one training may take place in
your office or classroom.
• Small group training may take place in
the Learning Technologies Center or another facility, as
needed.
• Blackboard orientation sessions may take
place in your classroom or a computer lab.
