Hagerstown Community College would like to recognize students from the 2022-2023 academic year who have earned competitive and special program awards.

Recipients of the Technology and Computer Studies Leadership and Service Awards were Quentin D. Campbell, of Greencastle, Pa., for advanced manufacturing systems; Dade H. Howell, of Hagerstown, for electrical engineering technology; Elizabeth G. Boehmer, of Fayetteville, Pa., for graphic design technology; Jacqueline M. Boese, of Hagerstown, for interactive design and game management; and Fatima Mohamed Ali Suleiman, of Hagerstown, for web and multimedia technology.

Recipients of the Technology and Computer Science Professionalism Awards were Quentin D. Campbell, of Greencastle, Pa., for advanced manufacturing systems; Carleton E. Walker, of Thurmont, for alternative energy technology; Trevor J. Mullen, of Myersville, for electrical engineering technology; Hannah Bivona, of Smithsburg, for graphic design technology; Ethan E. Swope, of Hagerstown, for interactive design and fame development; and Fatima Mohamed Ali Suleiman, of Hagerstown, for web and multimedia technology.

Recipients of the Career Programs Awards of Excellence were Meaghan A. Sebrosky, of Hagerstown, for accounting and business; Olivia J. Moats, of Waynesboro, Pa., for administration of justice; Quentin D. Campbell, of Greencastle, Pa., for advanced manufacturing systems; Mikala D. Cunningham, of Hagerstown, for biotechnology; Drew N. Gordon, of Big Cove Tannery, Pa., for dental hygiene; Diana Alvarado Once, of Hagerstown, for early childhood and primary grades education; Carleton E. Walker, of Thurmont, for electrical engineering technology; Alyssa P. Neff, of Waynesboro, Pa., for graphic design technology; Alaina H. Boehmer, of Fayetteville, Pa., for health information management; Hunter D. Barnhart, of Fayetteville, Pa., for management; Omobolanle A. Akinde, of Hagerstown, for nursing; Leah C. Semmont, of Hancock, for radiography; and Keiana L. Stern, of Falling Waters, W.Va., for substance abuse counseling.

Recipients of the Commendation for Academic Excellence in Mathematics and Science were Caitlin E. Lennon-Puthoff, of Hancock, for biology; Josef Marthony G. Ricafort, of Hagerstown, for chemistry; Carrington E. Hilliard, of Hagerstown, for engineering; Jenny Thi Ha, of Hagerstown, for environmental studies; Lochlan C. Joyce, of Sharpsburg, for mathematics; and David A. Buckwalter, of Greencastle, Pa., for physics.

Recipients of the TRIO: Student Support Services Awards of Excellence were Dolores Sanchez Rojas, of Hagerstown, for academic achievement; Melanie L. Carter, of New Market, Czireus Gabe L. Corpuz, of Hagerstown, and Chloe Fishpaw, of Williamsport, all for aspiring scholar; and Katy A. Smith, and Latifa V. McGoldrick, both of Hagerstown, for perseverance.
