HCC to host Jim Brown Classic Men’s Basketball Tournament on Nov. 30 and Dec. 1

(November 14, 2019)— Hagerstown Community College will host the Jim Brown Classic Basketball Invitational Tournament on Saturday, Nov. 30, and Sunday, Dec. 1, in the ARCC on HCC’s campus.

On Saturday, Nov. 30, Hagerstown Community College Hawks is scheduled to play Monroe College Mustangs at 1 p.m., followed by the Allegany College Trojans vs. County College of Morris Titans at 3 p.m.

On Sunday, Dec. 1, Allegany College Trojans are scheduled to play the Monroe College Mustangs at 1 p.m., followed by a matchup between the HCC Hawks and County College of Morris Trojans at 3 p.m.

Following Coach Jim Brown’s retirement in 2002, HCC’s Athletic Department started this invitational classic to provide out-of-conference game opportunities early in the basketball season. Coach Brown served as the HCC Athletic Director and Hawks Head Men’s Basketball Coach, winning 517 games from 1979-2002.
