HCC to offer diesel tech program
(June 13, 2019) – Hagerstown Community College is offering a Diesel Technician Program starting in July that prepares students for entry-level employment in the field.
The 200-hour program focuses on hands-on training activities, diagnostic and troubleshooting skills, and the Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) G1 exam. The summer Diesel Technician Program will be offered in a boot camp format, beginning July 8 and running through August 30, Monday through Friday, from 9:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The program will be held in the college’s Energy and Trades Training Center and includes topics of tool and equipment fundamentals, electrical and electronic systems, diagnostic scanning tools, brakes, suspension, exhaust systems, engine and transmission systems, and preventative maintenance and inspection.
