HCC raises $10,513 to benefit United Way of Washington County

(December 5, 2019)— During the month of October and November, faculty, staff, and students from Hagerstown Community College held a giving campaign to benefit the United Way of Washington County.

Between October 7 and November 7, $10,513 was collected or pledged to the United Way. These funds are used to benefit efforts to improve education, health, and financial stability in Washington County, as well as to provide basic needs to members of the community.

“I am proud to be a part of a campus community that pulls together to support so many local causes,” said HCC campaign representative Megan Curry. “We are honored to be able to present these funds to the United Way, knowing they help support amazing programs and local non-profits that reach over 28,000 people each year.”
