HCC receives $15,000 from The Columbia Bank

(December 7, 2018) – Hagerstown Community College Foundation recently received $15,000 from The Columbia Bank, to be used for HCC’s Center for Business and Entrepreneurial Studies, which is currently under development on the HCC campus.

“We have proudly worked with HCC for 46 years,” said Susan Mades, senior vice president and division manager at The Columbia Bank. “When we heard about the vision for the new business center at HCC, we immediately saw it as a great opportunity to get involved and help increase financial literacy in our community.”

The CBES is expected to open in late 2019 and will bring together HCC’s credit and non-credit business programs, HCC’s business incubator, and area business and industry leaders.

For more information on the CBES project, contact Ashley Whaley, director of the HCC Foundation, at 240-500-2213 or anwhaley@hagerstowncc.edu.
