HCC Service Club raises money for children in Ukraine

The student-led Service Club at Hagerstown Community College recently completed a donation drive for the Save the Children organization, to aid children suffering in Ukraine. The club raised $350 during the month of April.

“The club wanted to bring awareness to campus about what was happening in Ukraine and give other students the chance to support people in need,” according to club treasurer, Brianna Brown.

Donors received blue and yellow flags to take home or add to the display in front of the Student Center.

The Ukraine Donation Drive wrapped up a busy year of projects for the Service Club. Other projects included donation drives for HCC’s Student Food Pantry, American Heart Association, Humane Society of Washington County, and Children In Need, Inc.
