*Due to the COVID-19 situation, this concert has been canceled.

(March 11, 2020)— Hagerstown Community College will host Steve Herberman and his trio, as part of its Kepler Concert Series, on Sunday, March 29, at 7 p.m., in the Kepler Theater.

Based in the Washington D.C. area, seven-string guitarist Steve Herberman is a world-renowned jazz musician. A performer and composer, he has released several critically-acclaimed recordings, both leader and sideman. His original composition "What We Do" won first place in the jazz category of the 2018 USA Songwriting Competition.

Rounding out the trio are bassist Tom Baldwin and drummer Dominic Smith. These award-winning musicians are among the Washington area’s most in-demand sidemen. Collectively, they have performed and/or recorded with a veritable “who’s who” of jazz elites, including Eric Alexander, Fred Hersch, Eartha Kitt, Bernadette Peters, and Kenny Rankin.

Sponsored by the HCC Alumni Association, this event is free and open to the public. For more information, contact Danny Webber at 240-500-2406. To learn more about the performers, visit www.steveherberman.com.
