Join the HCC Alumni Association Today!
Memberships are Annual and run from July 1, to June 30. The Hagerstown Community College Alumni Association works to advance, support and promote the interests of Hagerstown Community College, its students, and alumni. The Association’s mission is to foster relationships between Alumni, current students, and the community and to convey to all a sense of affiliation, tradition, and satisfaction in supporting Hagerstown Community College.

Active and involved in our community, the HCC Alumni Association holds two annual concert series in the HCC Alumni Amphitheater, the Red, White, and Blue Concert (featuring nationally known military bands) and the Funky Fridays Series (featuring a variety of musical genres). These concerts are free and open to the public. Opportunities to be part of the amphitheater summer fun are available to members through volunteering at the concession stand or working with the bands.
Additionally, the Association holds the HCC Alumni & Friends Golf Tournament and the HCC Alumni Flower & Garden Show. Members are encouraged to be part of these events where all proceeds benefit HCC. The Association hosts an Alumni & Friends Travel Program, open to everyone, that supports the HCC Alumni Scholarship Fund. Past adventures have taken alumni and friends to Italy, Greece, Montenegro, Croatia, the Caribbean, the Panama Canal, Ireland, England, France, and Scotland. Other Association activities include theater outings, bus trips, participation in college events, and much more.
Twenty-five percent of all Alumni Association membership dues are deposited in the HCC Alumni Scholarship Fund, which is in the HCC Foundation, Inc, and interest from the funds provides annual scholarships to children and grandchildren of alumni.
A Few Ways that the Alumni Association Supports HCC
Join the HCC Alumni Association today and help us make a difference for students at Hagerstown Community College.
- Built the $1.3 million-dollar HCC Alumni Amphitheater
- Gave $25,000 to kick start the Take2 Program
- Annually Fund $3,000 to the HCC Food Pantry to purchase supplies for food-insecure students
- Contributed $75,000 for scholarships to mark HJC/ HCC’s 75th Anniversary
- Donated $17,300 to the HCC Foundation from the 2022 Alumni & Friends Golf Tournament
- Purchased screens and needed equipment for the College’s Audio-Visual Department
- Named a room for $25,000 in the HCC Student Center
- Provide free concerts for the community in the Alumni Amphitheater & Kepler Theater
- Fund College visits and special programs for TRIO students for $5,000
- Sponsor the HCC Foundation’s Annual Tribute Fundraiser
- Provided an ice cream truck to distribute cones and sponsored the pumpkin patch for STEAM Fest 2022
- Champion the HCC Angel Fund for students with financial needs and provide all funds
- Buy bus passes annually for ESL (English as a Second Language) students to attend HCC
- Provided $1,500 for food and supplies for Campus Quick Stop locations to have ready food for students with food insecurities
- Named the Hive Offices in the HCC Center for Business & Entrepreneurial Studies (CBES) for $30,000
- Support the Alumni Scholarship Fund in the HCC Foundation which currently has more than $457,000 in principal and awarded $15,558 from the interest generated by the fund in 2022-2023
