HCC Foundation

The HCC Foundation was created in 1968 to help remove financial barriers to education for students and support Hagerstown Community College's mission as a comprehensive, open-door institution.

As a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization, the Foundation secures philanthropic support to advance the college’s goals and expand opportunity for all. Guided by a dedicated 32-member elected board of directors, the Foundation fuels student success and strengthens our region’s workforce. Each year, it awards over $800,000 in scholarships to more than 500 students—helping them start or return to college and build brighter futures.

With an endowment of over $25 million, ensuring each gift makes a lasting impact for generations to come.

97% of every gift made to the HCC Foundation goes directly toward scholarships or the donor's charitable intent. Giving societies like the President’s Circle and 1946 Society recognize and honor those who make a lasting difference through annual leadership gifts or planned giving.

Your generosity fuels the Foundation's mission to open doors for our students.

Thank you for your support!
