  • Foundation scholarships available for HCC students

    The College Advancement Office at HCC is now accepting applications for scholarships offered through the HCC Foundation. The deadline for the spring semester is Sunday, December 1, 2019. To be considered, students must complete the 2019-2020 FAFSA and be registered for spring 2020 classes. 

  • HCC student named as Good Scholarship recipient

    Sydney Gose of Greencastle, Pa., has been named the first female recipient of the Sgt. Richard H. Good Scholarship at Hagerstown Community College. Gose, who is studying administration of justice, is receiving $2,000 to cover tuition expenses for the fall of 2019 and spring of 2020. 

  • HCC to host college fair on October 9

    The 2019 Washington County College Fair will be held on Wednesday, October 9 from 6 to 8 p.m. in the Athletic, Recreation and Community Center at HCC.

  • HCC to host STEM Festival on October 12

    Hagerstown Community College will host a STEM Festival on Saturday, October 12, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., on the campus of HCC. The 2019 STEM (science, technology, engineering, and math) Festival will feature science exhibits and demonstrations, hands-on activities and competitions for K-12 students, and more. 

  • HCC nursing program receives award

    The Nursing Program at Hagerstown Community College recently received an award from The Maryland Clinical Simulation Resource Consortium (MCSRC). The total amount of the award was $45,269.

  • HCC receives $2,500 from Hagerstown Lions Club

    Hagerstown Community College recently received a $2,500 donation from the Hagerstown Lions Club to be used for programmatic funding for the 2019 STEM Festival. The event will be held on Saturday, October 12, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., on HCC’s main campus. The 2019 STEM Festival will include science exhibits, hands-on activities, and competitions for students in K-12. 

  • Taylor honored during Red, White & Blue Concert Series

    As part of the Hagerstown Community College Alumni Association’s Red, White and Blue Summer Concert Series on Saturday, August 17, Ronald Wayne Taylor, HCC volunteer and alumnus, was recognized by Jeff Kline, president of the Board of County Commissioners of Washington County.

  • Kris Kringle Craft Show

    The Kris Kringle Craft Show will be held in the ARCC on Saturday, November 23 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Sunday, November 24 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

    The show features 250 quality craft vendors offering primitive and country, jewelry, baskets, floral, pottery, quilts, dolls, gourmet foods, candles, gifts, and more. There will be free parking and entertainment.

  • The 39 Steps

    Hagerstown Community College’s Robinwood Players will perform, “The 39 Steps,” on November 22, 23, and 24, in the Kepler Theater on HCC’s main campus. “The 39 Steps” mixes the Alfred Hitchcock thriller masterpiece with a juicy spy novel and a dash of Monty Python flavor.

  • Friendsgiving

    Friendsgiving in the Student Center room 182. Free meal, bring a dessert to share and a donation to the Student Food Pantry.

  • College Closed at noon for Thanksgiving

    College officially closes at 12:00 P.M. on November 27, 2019 and will reopen on Monday, December 2, 2019. No classes will be held and administrative offices will be closed during this time.

  • 19th Annual Turkey Trot

    Hagerstown Community College's 19th annual Turkey Trot will be held on Thanksgiving day, Thursday, November 28. This event features a 5K run/walk, kids' races, food, and a toy drive. All proceeds benefit student athlete scholarships.

  • Jim Brown Men's and Women's Basketball Classic

    The Jim Brown Classic basketball invitational will be held on Saturday, November 30th and Sunday, December 1st at the ARCC on the Hagerstown Community College Campus. The kick-off games of the classic will begin at 11:00 a.m. both Saturday and Sunday.

  • NARCAN Training

    In an effort to provide education on how to recognize, respond to, and prevent an opioid overdose, the Washington County Health Department will be hosting monthly Narcan trainings in the Student Center (STC), Room 182. If you are concerned that a loved one is at risk for overdosing on heroin or a prescription pain medication, this training is for you. No RSVP or registration is necessary.

  • Spring 2020 Tuition Payment Deadline

    For those who have already registered for spring 2020 classes at HCC, tuition payment is due by December 5, 2019. Students must settle their respective accounts by using financial aid, paying their balance in full, or setting up a payment plan. Make a payment in full to HCC's Finance Office or payments can also be made via WebAdvisor.
