  • HCC receives $28,665 donation

    The Hagerstown Community College Foundation recently received a donation of $28,665 from the estate of Deborah R. Myers and her husband, William Munz, to establish the Debbie Myers Memorial Scholarship, to assist nursing students.

  • U.S. Army Blues Band to perform June 27 at HCC

    The Hagerstown Community College Alumni Association will host the United States Army Blues Band as part of its annual Red, White and Blue Summer Concert Series, on Thursday, June 27, at 6:15 p.m., in HCC’s Alumni Amphitheater.

  • U.S. Navy Country Current to perform June 23 at HCC

    The Hagerstown Community College Alumni Association will host the U.S. Navy Country Current as part of its annual Red, White and Blue Summer Concert Series, on Sunday, June 23, at 6:15 p.m., in HCC’s Alumni Amphitheater. 

  • Seventh grade Career Exploration Day to be held at HCC

    All seventh grade students in Washington County Public Schools will have the opportunity to attend the second annual Career Exploration Day at Hagerstown Community College on Thursday, June 6. The event is an OnTrack initiative, supported by a coalition of partners that includes Washington County Chamber of Commerce, WCPS, HCC, the Greater Hagerstown Committee, and the WCPS Education Foundation.

  • HCC recognizes outstanding adjunct faculty

    HCC recently recognized five of its outstanding adjunct faculty members for 2018. Doug Courter, who has been an adjunct instructor for the Technology and Computer Studies Division for sixteen years, has been recognized as the 2018 Outstanding Adjunct Faculty member of the year.

  • HCC Alumni Association presents 2019 Outstanding Alumni Award

    The HCC Alumni Association recently named Gracie and Eddie Wiley as Outstanding Alumni of the Year during the college’s Honors Convocation. HCC Alumni Association President Linda Reid presented the award in recognition of the Wiley’s meritorious unpaid service to Hagerstown Community College and the Alumni Association, as well service to the community. 

  • HCC accepts 70 new members into Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society

    Phi Theta Kappa (PTK), the national honor society at Hagerstown Community College, recently accepted 70 new members. To be eligible for PTK, students must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or higher and must have completed 12 credit hours of college-level work at HCC. 

  • HCC announces spring 2019 dean's list

    Hagerstown Community College recently announced its dean’s list for the spring 2019 semester.  To qualify for the dean’s list, students must be attending school full-time (12 credits or more of college-level courses, 101 and above) and earn a minimum quality-point average of 3.50 for the most recent semester.

  • STEM Festival

    The 2019 STEM Festival will be held on Saturday, October 12 from 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. in the ARCC, Energy & Trades Training Center, and STEM Buildings. The festival will include science exhibits, hands-on activities, and competitions for students in K-12. Admission is free. Refreshments will be available.

  • NARCAN Training

    In an effort to provide education on how to recognize, respond to, and prevent an opioid overdose, the Washington County Health Department will be hosting monthly Narcan trainings in the Student Center (STC), Room 182. If you are concerned that a loved one is at risk for overdosing on heroin or a prescription pain medication, this training is for you. No RSVP or registration is necessary.
