  • 2015 Hub City Teen Writers Institute contest winners announced

    As part of the third annual Mid-Atlantic Fiction Writers Institute (MAFWI), the Hub City Teen Writers Institute gave teen writers the opportunity to take part in a writing contest. MAFWI is proud to announce the winners of the 2015 Hub City Teen Writers Fiction Contest.

  • HCC to host Mid-Atlantic Fiction Writers Institute

    Hagerstown Community College will host the Mid-Atlantic Fiction Writers Institute (MAFWI), August 7 to 9. This is the third year for the event, formerly called the Nora Roberts Writing Institute, and it will feature New York Times and international bestselling author Tess Gerritsen as the keynote speaker.

  • U.S. Navy Sea Chanters to perform August 8 at HCC

    The Hagerstown Community College Alumni Association will host the U.S. Navy Sea Chanters as part of its annual Red, White and Blue Summer Concert Series, on Saturday, August 8, at 6:15 p.m., in HCC’s Alumni Amphitheater.

  • HCC students visit Buddist temple

    On Friday, April 10, 2015, fifty HCC students visited the Wat Thai Buddist Temple in Silver Spring, Maryland as part of their religious site visit requirement for their Humanities World Religion (HUM 214) course.

  • HCC Middle College to hold info sessions

    Program information sessions for the STEMM (science, technology, engineering, math, medical) Technical Middle College at Hagerstown Community College will be held on Wednesday, July 22, and Wednesday, August 5, from 4 to 6 p.m., in the STEM Building, room 409.


  • Athletic Boosters Corn Hole Tournament

    The HCC Athletic Boosters will hold a Corn Hole Tournament on September 12 in the ARCC. Proceeds benefit HCC scholarships. Registration begins at 10:30 a.m. and the tournament begins at 1 p.m. Price is $50 per team (includes two beer tickets). Double elimination tournament with cash prizes. Concessions will be available for purchase.
