  • McAfee artwork on display from May 15 - June 18

    Artwork by adjunct instructor and artist Ben McAfee will be on display from May 15 through June 18, 2015, at the Art Association of Harrisburg's 87th Annual International Juried Exhibition.

  • Life After HCC Workshop Series - April 1-21

    HCC's Student Activities Office will host a free workshop series, “Life After HCC,” every week through the month of April. All workshops are 45 minutes in length and are open to all HCC students.

  • Keller exhibit on display through April 28

    Benita Keller, a local photographer and adjunct instructor at HCC, will exhibit work at the Washington County Arts Council from March 26 through April 28. Opening reception is March 18, from 2 to 4 p.m.

  • Three HCC students to exhibit work at Maryland Film Festival

    Three students from adjunct instructor Audra Haddock-Martenot's GDT-220 Video Production course are exhibiting films in this week's Maryland Maryland International Film Festival-Hagerstown (MDIFF). MDIFF will be held from Thursday, March 26 through Saturday, March 28, at several locations in Hagerstown. 

  • LSC Writing Workshops - March 24-27

    The Learning Support Center (LSC) will host a free workshop series on citing sources from March 24 to March 27 in the Learning Support Center. Citing Sources and Avoiding Plagiarism will help students learn how to integrate sources, format in-text citations and footnotes, and create a bibliography page for a variety of writing styles.

  • Microsoft Developer Presentation - March 26

    Microsoft Developer Yung Chou will speak at HCC on Thursday, March 26, at 1 p.m., in the STEM Building, room 109. This event is free and is open to students, staff, and faculty. 

  • Irish Folk Music Concert - March 17

    HCC's SGA will hold a special concert to celebrate Irish American Heritage Month on Tuesday, March 17, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., in the Student Center lounge. Event includes free lunch. Open to students, staff, and faculty.

  • V-Day: One Billion Rising Revolution - March 26

    Students in HCC’s NOW and Spectrum Clubs will co-sponsor “V-Day: One Billion Rising Revolution,” on Thursday, March 26, from 6 to 9 p.m., in the Student Center. This event is free and is open to the public. 

  • Summer Job & Internship Fair - March 25

    A summer job and internship fair will be held on Wednesday, March 25, from 11 a.m to 1 p.m. in the Career Programs Buildings, rooms 211-213. This event is free and is open to HCC students.

  • Hub City Teen Writers Institute offered this summer at HCC

    (Release: March 12, 2015)—As part of the third annual Mid-Atlantic Fiction Writers Institute (MAFWI) at Hagerstown Community College, HCC will also offer a special weekend writing institute for teen writers between the ages of 13 and 19.


  • Hood College Transfer Advisor Visit

    A transfer advisor from Hood College will be on campus to meet with interested students from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Administration and Student Affairs (ASA) Building, room 605. To make an appointment, call 240-500-2240.

  • Business Club Trip to Annapolis

    Students and HCC employees are invited to join HCC’s Business Club for a day trip to Annapolis on Friday, April 24. The bus will leave HCC at 7 a.m. and arrive at the Maryland Chamber of Commerce for a 9 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. meeting with top lobbyists in Annapolis from the Maryland Bankers Association, the Retailers Association, and the Chamber of Commerce.

  • Trip to Baltimore Inner Harbor

    HCC is sponsoring a bus trip to the Baltimore Inner Harbor on Saturday, April 25. This trip is open to HCC students and employees. The bus leaves HCC at 9 a.m. and returns at 5 p.m. This trip includes free admission to Maryland African American History and Cultural Museum. A $10 reservation fee will be returned the day of the trip.
