  • HCC Alumni Association presents Life Member Award

    During the recent Honors Convocation at Hagerstown Community College, Alumni Association President Linda Reid presented HCC Student Government Association President Sarah Snouffer with the HCC Alumni Association Life Member Award. 

  • Seventh grade Career Exploration Day to be held at HCC

    All seventh grade students in the Washington County Public Schools will have the opportunity to attend the first Career Exploration Day at Hagerstown Community College on Wednesday, June 6. The event is an OnTrack initiative, supported by a coalition of partners that includes Washington County Chamber of Commerce, WCPS, HCC, the Greater Hagerstown Committee, and the WCPS Education Foundation.

  • HCC announces spring 2018 dean’s list

    Hagerstown Community College recently announced its dean’s list for the spring 2018 semester. To qualify for the dean’s list, students must be attending school full-time (12 credits or more of college-level courses) and must maintain a GPA of 3.5 and above.

  • Pinning ceremony honors HCC health sciences graduates

    The 2018 graduates of the health sciences division at Hagerstown Community College were honored at a pinning ceremony on May 12. Dental assisting, dental hygiene, medical assisting, paramedic, pharmacy technician, and radiography were among the program areas included in this year’s ceremony. 

  • Pinning ceremony honors HCC’s nursing graduates

    Hagerstown Community College recently held a nurse pinning ceremony to recognize graduates of its spring 2018 nursing class. Graduates from the associate degree nursing program and practical nursing certificate program received their nursing pins.

  • HCC honors GED and EDP graduates

    HCC recently held its annual adult education commencement ceremony. Student speakers at the event included Luz Herrera, of Hagerstown, to represent the English as a Second Language (ESL) and General Equivalency Development (GED) program, and Marsha Pierle, of Hagerstown, who represented the GED program. 


  • Fall 2018 Tuition Payment Deadline

    For those who have already registered for Fall 2018 classes at HCC, tuition payment is due by August 10. Students must settle their respective accounts by using financial aid, paying their balance in full, or setting up a payment plan. For more information, contact the Finance Office at 240-500-2220.

  • NARCAN Training

    In an effort to provide education on how to recognize, respond to, and prevent an opioid overdose, the Washington County Health Department will be hosting monthly Narcan trainings in the Student Center, Room 170. If you are concerned that a loved one is at risk for overdosing on heroin or a prescription pain medication, this training is for you.

  • Manufacturing 4.0 - Creating a Skilled Workforce

    This one-day conference, sponsored by the National Science Foundation, will be held on August 14, 2018, from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Attendees will learn about the latest trends and opportunities in this surging segment of industry and will have the opportunity to network with regional industry, educators, and students who are stakeholders in creating the new workforce.
