  • HCC Alumni Association to host nine-day Caribbean cruise in 2016

    Hagerstown Community College’s Alumni Association will host its annual Alumni & Friends Cruise in winter 2016.

    The nine-day, eight-night cruise will be held from February 20 through February 28, 2016, aboard Carnival’s “Carnival Pride” cruise ship. Leaving from Baltimore, Maryland, port stops include Grand Turk; Nassau, Bahamas; and Half Moon Cay, Bahamas.

  • U.S. Navy Commodores to perform June 24 at HCC

    The Hagerstown Community College Alumni Association will host the U.S. Navy Commodores as part of its annual Red, White and Blue Summer Concert Series, on Wednesday, June 24, at 6:15 p.m., in HCC’s Alumni Amphitheater.

  • Summer Volleyball Camp offered at HCC

    Hagerstown Community College is offering various volleyball camps this summer to give athletes a challenging experience. These camps are a must for players of all skill levels trying to brush up on fundamentals or who are learning the game for the first time. Expert instructors, working within the group framework, train each participant to become better volleyball players and competitors.

  • HCC Alumni Association presents 2015 Outstanding Alumnus Awards

    Joyce L. Ott and Ronald W. Taylor, both of Hagerstown, each were presented the 2015 Hagerstown Community College Alumni Association Outstanding Alumnus Award at HCC’s recent Honors Convocation. These awards are presented for meritorious service to and support of the HCC Alumni Association for the last 50 or more years.

  • HCC Hawk Booster Club supports scholar athletes

    The Hagerstown Community College Hawk Athletic Booster Club has been reestablished and is now led by a 14 member HCC Booster Leadership Group. The group is proud to announce that through the various fundraising efforts over the past year, they are able to contribute $2,000 to each of HCC’s athletic teams to be used to support scholar athletes.

  • HCC to host Mid-Atlantic Fiction Writers Institute

    Hagerstown Community College will host the Mid-Atlantic Fiction Writers Institute (MAFWI), August 7 to 9. This is the third year for the event, formerly called the Nora Roberts Writing Institute, and it will feature New York Times and international bestselling author Tess Gerritsen as the keynote speaker.

  • HCC to host Hub City Teen Writers Institute

    Hagerstown Community College will host the Hub City Teen Writers Institute, August 7 to 9, as part of the Mid-Atlantic Fiction Writers Institute (MAFWI). It will feature a series of workshops and events specially geared toward aspiring, young writers, ages 13 to 19. Workshops will include fiction-crafting and publishing, as well as the opportunity to network with other teen writers.
