  • 2014 Nora Roberts Writing Institute - Aug. 8-10

    HCC will hold its Second Annual Nora Roberts Writing Institute (NRWI) from Aug. 8-10. NRWI is a three-day summer writing retreat for aspiring fiction writers and includes a two-day Young Writers Institute for teen writers between the ages of 13-19.

  • 229th Army Band to perform June 29 at HCC

    The Hagerstown Community College Alumni Association will host the 229th Army Band as part of its annual Red, White and Blue Summer Concert Series, on Sunday, June 29, 2014, at 6:15 p.m., in HCC’s Alumni Amphitheater.

  • Maryland Defense Force Band to perform June 22 at HCC

    The Hagerstown Community College Alumni Association will host the Maryland Defense Force Band as part of its annual Red, White and Blue Concert Series, on Sunday, June 22, 2014, at 6:15 p.m., in HCC’s Alumni Amphitheater.

  • College for Kids June 23 - Aug. 1

    Classes start June 23 and will continue through Aug. 1. Students meet Monday through Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Individual course costs will vary according to section and materials needed.

  • STEMM Summer Bridge Program - July 7-18

    HCC is offering a free Summer Bridge Program for students in eighth, ninth, and tenth grades who are interested in STEMM (science, technology, engineering, math, and medical) careers.

  • HCC inducts new members into Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society

    Phi Theta Kappa (PTK), the national honor society at Hagerstown Community College, recently inducted 129 new members. To be eligible for PTK, students must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or higher and must have completed 12 credit hours of college-level work at HCC as a full-time student, or 24 credit hours of college-level work at HCC as a part-time student.  

  • HCC announces spring 2014 dean’s list

    Hagerstown Community College recently announced its dean’s list for the spring 2014 semester.  To qualify for the dean’s list, students must be attending school full-time (12 credits or more) and must maintain a GPA of 3.5 and above

  • S-STEM Scholarship Deadline - Aug. 15

    HCC students majoring in STEM-based programs (science, technology, engineering, or math) are eligible to apply for the S-STEM scholarship. Deadline to apply (or reapply) is Aug. 15.

  • U.S. Navy Commodores to perform June 14 at HCC

    The Hagerstown Community College Alumni Association will host the U.S. Navy Commodores as part of its annual Red, White and Blue Summer Concert Series, on Saturday, June 14, 2014, at 6:15 p.m., in HCC’s Alumni Amphitheater.

    The U.S. Navy Country Current will perform at 6:15 p.m. in the Alumni Association Amphitheater. This concert is free and open to the public. All concert dates are subject to change by the U.S. Military.
