  • HCC Middle College info sessions to be held

    Program information sessions for the STEMM (science, technology, engineering, math, medical) Technical Middle College at Hagerstown Community College will be held on Tuesday, July 22, and Wednesday, August 6, 2014, from 4 to 6 p.m., in the STEM Building.  

  • Fall Internship Deadline - July 26

    The deadline to apply for an internship for the fall 2014 semester is Saturday, July 26. To be eligible for an internship, students must have a GPA of 2.0 or higher and must have completed at least half of their program requirements.

  • 78th Army Band to perform July 21 at HCC

    The Hagerstown Community College Alumni Association will host the 78th Army Band as part of its annual Red, White and Blue Summer Concert Series, on Monday, July 21, 2014, at 6:15 p.m., in HCC’s Alumni Amphitheater.

  • HCC’s Middle College receives regional award

    The STEMM Technical Middle College at Hagerstown Community College recently received the 2014 Outstanding Instructional Program Award from the Community Colleges of Appalachia (CCA) at CCA’s annual conference in Asheville, North Carolina.

  • HCC receives EARN Maryland Implementation Grant

    Hagerstown Community College, in partnership with Montgomery College, has received a $256,010 Mid Maryland (MOVE) Transportation and Logistics grant through the Maryland Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation’s new EARN Maryland Implementation grant program to support strategic industry partnership for transportation and distribution in western Maryland.

  • New Fee for Transcripts

    HCC recently updated its system and will now be sending transcripts electronically. Beginning July 1, 2014, there will be a $5 fee per transcript.

  • HCC graduates second class of Police Academy recruits

    Hagerstown Community College recently graduated its second class of Police Academy recruits. Following remarks from HCC Police Academy Director David Simonetti, HCC President Guy Altieri, Hagerstown Police Department Chief Mark Holtzman, Washington County Sheriff Douglas Mullendore, and student speaker Jeremy Ziegler, students were awarded certificates to commend their achievement.

    A transfer advisor from Frostburg State University at Hagerstown will be on campus to meet with Psychology majors from 9:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. in the Valley Eatery (Career Programs Building, upper level). No appointment necessary.

  • Washington County College Fair

    The Annual Washington County College Fair will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. in the ARCC. Representatives from over 100 colleges, universities, and technical schools will be on-site to meet with students.

  • 25th Annual Cumberland Valley BCA Step 'n Stride

    The 25th Annual Cumberland Valley BCA Step 'n Stride will be held on Oct. 18 in the HCC ARCC. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. and the walk begins at 10 a.m. You can form a team or sponsor a walker. You can also buy a tribute flag for $10. For more information, go to
