Vendors wanted for HCC’s annual Flower & Garden Show
The Hagerstown Community College Alumni Association is currently seeking vendors and exhibitors for its annual Flower & Garden Show, which will be held on Saturday, March 17, and Sunday, March 18, at the college’s Athletic, Recreation and Community Center (ARCC).
Technical Innovation Center to offer monthly business networking event
The Technical Innovation Center at Hagerstown Community College is offering a business networking event, “Mugs and Pitches,” on Jan. 19, Feb. 16, March 16, and March 20, from 8:30 to 9:45 a.m., in the Career Programs Building, room 211.
HCC accepts 44 new members into Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society
Phi Theta Kappa (PTK), the national honor society at Hagerstown Community College, recently accepted 44 new members. To be eligible for PTK, students must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or higher and must have completed 12 credit hours of college-level work at HCC.
HCC Middle College accepting applications for fall
The STEMM Technical Middle College (STMC) at Hagerstown Community College is now accepting applications for the fall 2018 class, with a priority deadline of March 1. Interested students and parents are encouraged to attend one of the program information sessions on Wednesdays, Jan. 24, Feb. 7, and Feb. 21, at 4 p.m., in the Learning Resource Center, room 254.
HCC offers spring late-start classes
The spring semester is underway at Hagerstown Community College, but there is still time to register for late-start spring classes. Shorter sessions begin January 22, February 13, and March 12.
HCC announces fall 2017 dean’s list
Hagerstown Community College recently announced its dean’s list for the fall 2017 semester. To qualify for the dean’s list, students must be attending school full-time (12 credits or more of college-level courses) and must maintain a GPA of 3.5 and above.
HCC to hold annual Martin Luther King Jr. celebration
Hagerstown Community College will hold its annual Martin Luther King Jr. Diversity Celebration on Monday, Jan. 15, from 1 to 3 p.m., in the Kepler Theater at HCC.
Antietam Cable channel 99 to air HCC graduation ceremonies
Antietam Cable channel 99 is scheduled to rebroadcast the 2017 Hagerstown Community College’s fall graduation ceremonies that were held on December 16, 2017 starting on January 24, 2018.
HCC graduates ninth class of Police Academy recruits
Hagerstown Community College recently graduated its ninth class of Police Academy recruits. Following remarks from HCC Police Academy Director David Simonetti, HCC President Guy Altieri, and student speaker Deputy Ethan Messineo, students were awarded certificates to commend their achievement.
Pinning ceremony honors HCC’s nursing graduates
Hagerstown Community College recently held a nurse pinning ceremony to recognize graduates of its fall 2017 nursing class.
