Richard Emeni, CEO of Linked Ventures, a client in the Technical Innovation Center at Hagerstown Community College, recently won second place in the Business Plan Competition at the Power of Possibilities Summit at the Garrett College Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation, in McHenry, Maryland.
Hagerstown Community College recently announced its dean’s list for the spring 2015 semester. To qualify for the dean’s list, students must be attending school full-time (12 credits or more) and must maintain a GPA of 3.5 and above.

Hagerstown Community College recently held a nurse pinning ceremony to recognize graduates of its spring 2015 nursing class.
Hagerstown Community College held its 68th annual commencement on Saturday, May 16, at 9:30 a.m., in the Athletic, Recreation, and Community Center at HCC. HCC President Guy Altieri and members of the board of trustees awarded 720 degrees and certificates to HCC’s largest graduating class ever, before a crowd of more than 2,000 people.
Hagerstown Community College recently held its 13th annual Honors Convocation. The event recognized special awards, graduation honors, dean’s list honors, Phi Theta Kappa membership, Future Educators Honor Association membership, and TRiO Support Services awards.
The 2015 graduates of the health sciences division at Hagerstown Community College were honored at a pinning ceremony on May 13. Dental assisting, medical assisting, paramedic, and radiography were among the program areas included in this year’s ceremony.
The TRiO Upward Bound Program at Hagerstown Community College is now accepting applications from students who will be incoming freshman at HCC for the 2015-2016 school year.
Hagerstown Community College’s Alumni Association recently announced its concert schedule for the 11th annual Red, White and Blue Summer Concert Series. All concerts are free and are open to the public.
The net proceeds from the Hagerstown Community College Foundation’s 16th Annual Tribute, held in March, total $212,721, to benefit HCC student scholarships. The event, which had 450 attendees, honored HCC students and was hosted by Jim and Georgia Pierné.
