  • HCC recognizes Child Abuse Awareness Month

    April is Child Abuse Awareness Month and HCC’s Human Services Class is having a "Goodnight's Sleep Drive" to help collect items for children who have temporarily been displaced from their homes. The class will be collecting new items such as stuffed animals, blankets, pillows, night lights and overnight bags. 

  • Robinwood Players to perform “Little Women the Musical”

    Hagerstown Community College’s Robinwood Players will perform “Little Women the Musical,” based on the novel by Louisa May Alcott, from Friday, April 22, through Sunday, April 24, in the Kepler Theater on HCC’s main campus. General admission is $15, but HCC students, staff, and faculty can attend for free. 

  • HCC to hold emergency assessment scenario on April 16

    Hagerstown Community College will conduct its annual Critical Response Emergency Assessment Scenario (CREAS) training event on Saturday, April 16, beginning at 8:30 a.m., on HCC’s main campus. The event is closed to the public, but the community should be aware that multiple area emergency response vehicles will be on campus as part of the training. 

  • Volleyball camp offered at HCC

    Volleyball camp will be offered at Hagerstown Community College this summer, for students in grades three through 12. The camp is designed for players of all skill levels who want to work on fundamentals of the game or learn the game for the first time.

  • HCC to offer free information sessions for rad tech students

    Two free information sessions will be provided at Hagerstown Community College for prospective students interested in the Radiography Program. The first information session will be held on Thursday, April 7, from 4:30 to 6 p.m. and the second session will be held on Friday, April 15, from 9:30 to 11 a.m. 

  • 2016 Casting Call Photo Contest March 28 to April 1

    The Public Information and Government Relations Office (PIGR) at Hagerstown Community College will hold its annual Casting Call Photo Contest from 7:30 a.m. on Monday, March 28, to 4:30 p.m. on Friday, April 1. The photo contest allows students to enter for a chance to win a $25 amazon gift card and a chance to participate in HCC's marketing photoshoots.

  • Early fall registration now open

    Registration for the fall 2016 semester at Hagerstown Community College will begin earlier this year. Registration for fall classes starts on Monday, March 28. Fall classes begin on August 29.

  • HCC student’s research published in scientific journal

    Hagerstown Community College biotechnology student, Kelsey Shroades, recently had her research from the National Fish Health Lab published in the Conservation and Genetics Resources scientific journal. While studying at HCC, Shroades completed an internship in 2014 at the National Fish Health Lab, USGS, in Kearneysville, W.Va. She has since continued working there part-time as a biological science technician while finishing her degree at HCC. She is scheduled to graduate this summer. 

  • HCC to administer pharm tech exams

    The Pharmacy Technician Program at Hagerstown Community College has been approved as an official administration site for the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) exam. This will allow pharmacy technician students to easily take the exam to become certified, after they have completed the three required courses at HCC. 

  • HCC to freeze tuition for next year

    The Hagerstown Community College Board of Trustees has approved a tuition freeze for the 2016-2017 academic year. HCC’s tuition rates remain among the lowest in the four-state area. The registration and general college fee will also remain unchanged for the upcoming year.
