  • HCC’s Nora Roberts Writing Institute renamed Mid-Atlantic Fiction Writers Institute

    (Release: February 20, 2015)— The Nora Roberts Writing institute (NRWI) at Hagerstown Community College was recently renamed the Mid-Atlantic Fiction Writers Institute.

    Held every summer on the campus of HCC, NRWI's first two years featured comprehensive weekend writing retreats with sessions taught by bestselling authors and college faculty.

  • Police Academy now accepting applications

    (Release: February 19, 2015)— Applications are now being accepted for the next class of the Hagerstown Community College Police Academy. The class starts July 6 and runs through December 18, 2015. The application deadline is May 1, 2015.

  • HCC partners with Ed4Online

    (Release: February 11, 2015) – Hagerstown Community College has formed a partnership with a leading digital learning company, Ed4Online, to provide additional options for online learning.

  • HCC student nominated for All-USA Academic Team

    (Release: February 5, 2015)— Hagerstown Community College graduate April “Kate” Hamilton, of Hagerstown, was recently nominated as part of USA TODAY’s All-USA Community College Academic Team, a program that annually recognizes exceptional students at the nation’s community colleges.

  • HCC nursing students score second highest in state

    (Release: February 3, 2015) – Students in the associate degree nursing program at Hagerstown Community College scored second highest among all Maryland colleges for the NCLEX-RN first-time candidate exam, during the 2013-2014 academic year. Seventy-eight of 82 students passed the exam for an overall pass rate of 95.12 percent.
                    

  • College for Kids Open House - Feb. 21

    An open house for the summer College for Kids program will be held on Saturday, Feb. 21, from 9 a.m. to noon, at HCC's Valley Mall Center. Parents can register for classes and door prizes.

  • HCC honors nursing graduates in pinning ceremony

    (Release: January 23, 2015)— Hagerstown Community College recently held a nurse pinning ceremony to recognize graduates of its fall 2014 nursing class. In the associate degree nursing program, the following graduates received their nursing pins:

  • HCC announces fall 2014 dean’s list

    (Release: January 15, 2015)— Hagerstown Community College recently announced its dean’s list for the fall 2014 semester. To qualify for the dean’s list, students must be attending school full-time (12 credits or more) and must maintain a GPA of 3.5 and above.
