  • HCC to hold ESSENCE information night for high school students

    Hagerstown Community College will hold a special information night for students interested in HCC’s ESSENCE Early College Program on Wednesday, March 9, at 6:30 p.m., in the Career Programs Building, rooms 210 to 214. The ESSENCE Program allows students to earn college credit while still attending high school. 

  • HCC’s Robinwood Players Theater Club awards scholarships

    Hagerstown Community College’s Robinwood Players Theater Club recently awarded two club scholarships to members Kristen Davis and Paola C. Torres. The Robinwood Players Theater Club offers up to two $500 scholarships every spring semester to its club members. 

  • Sixth Police Academy class now in session

    HCC began its sixth Police Academy session on Monday, February 1. The current class runs through July of 2016. The HCC Police Academy provides entry-level police training to both agency-sponsored recruits and self-sponsored students.

  • HCC to offer info sessions for dental hygiene program

    Free information sessions will be held in February for those who want to learn more about the dental hygiene program at Hagerstown Community College. The first session will be held on Monday, Feb. 15, from 4:30 to 6 p.m., in the Career Programs Building, room 131. The second session will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 24, from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m., in the Career Programs Building, room 131. 

  • Still time to register for late start spring classes

    Hagerstown Community College is offering late start spring 2016 classes beginning in February or March. It is not too late to register for these classes online.   • HCC to participate in FAFSA Frenzy event at Valley Mall in February

    Hagerstown Community College will participate in the annual FAFSA Frenzy event on Saturday, Feb. 6 and Feb. 20, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday, Feb. 21, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the Valley Mall in Hagerstown beside American Eagle. Attendees will have the opportunity to receive assistance filing out their 2016-2017 FAFSA and learn about scholarships and financial aid options.

  • HCC students to hold improv night

    Hagerstown Community College students and alumni will hold an Improv Night on Friday, Jan. 29, at 8:00 p.m., in the Black Box Theater in the Kepler Center. This event is open to the public. Tickets are $10 and will be sold at the door. 

  • HCC alumni find success in alternative energy industry

    Graduates from Hagerstown Community College’s alternative energy technology program have successfully found employment in the regional solar industry. One HCC graduate, Ryan Ballard, launched his own solar company, Western Maryland Solar.
