HCC will host a one-day conference, entitled “Manufacturing 4.0: Celebrating a Skilled Workforce,” on Friday, Oct. 4, from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., in the Career Programs Building at HCC. The conference is intended for regional industry professionals, educators, and students who are stakeholders in creating the new workforce.
The Nursing Program at Hagerstown Community College recently received an award from The Maryland Clinical Simulation Resource Consortium (MCSRC). The total amount of the award was $45,269.
Hagerstown Community College alumna Jackie Jimenez, of Hagerstown, was recently awarded the full tuition Frederick Douglass Scholarship (FDS) from the University of Maryland (UMD).
Hagerstown Community College recently received a $2,500 donation from the Hagerstown Lions Club to be used for programmatic funding for the 2019 STEM Festival. The event will be held on Saturday, October 12, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., on HCC’s main campus. The 2019 STEM Festival will include science exhibits, hands-on activities, and competitions for students in K-12.
Hagerstown Community College’s Alumni Association will host its annual Alumni & Friends Cruise in spring 2020. The 12-night cruise will be held from May 3 through May 16, 2020, aboard Princess Cruise Line’s “Regal Princess.”
As part of the Hagerstown Community College Alumni Association’s Red, White and Blue Summer Concert Series on Saturday, August 17, Ronald Wayne Taylor, HCC volunteer and alumnus, was recognized by Jeff Kline, president of the Board of County Commissioners of Washington County.
Washington County Public Schools (WCPS) and Hagerstown Community College (HCC) are expanding opportunities for WCPS high school students to pursue an associate degree or a certificate in their field of study, particularly for students in Career and Technology Education (CTE).
(August 13, 2019)— The Hagerstown Community College Alumni Association will host the U.S. Navy Commodores as part of its annual Red, White and Blue Summer Concert Series, on Saturday, Aug. 17, at 6:15 p.m., in HCC’s Alumni Amphitheater.
The Workforce Solutions and Continuing Education Division at HCC recently awarded the American Management Association Certificate of General and Human Resource Management to 12 students. Each student completed the seven-course, 49-hour program at HCC’s Valley Mall Business Training Center.
HCC recently held its seventh annual TRIO Upward Bound Reception. The event represents an end-of-the-year celebration for the TRIO Upward Bound students and their achievements during the 2018-2019 school year.
