  • HCC to extend spring break another week

    Officials at Hagerstown Community College continue to monitor the ever-evolving situation with the coronavirus (COVID-19). HCC will extend spring break for STUDENTS ONLY for the week of March 16 to 20. No academic instruction will occur during that time. This includes credit and non-credit offerings. 

  • HCC and PIA sign agreement to benefit students

    Officials at Hagerstown Community College and the Pittsburgh Institute of Aeronautics signed a memorandum of understanding to establish a pathway for PIA graduates to earn a degree at HCC. Students who complete a program of study through PIA and have received the corresponding industry-recognized technical license or certification may be awarded up to 18 credits at HCC, to be granted toward the associate of applied science degree in technical studies. 

  • HCC accepting applications for diesel tech program

    Applications are now being accepted for the next Diesel Technician Program at Hagerstown Community College. The 200-hour program will begin on May 12 and will run through the summer, with evening and weekend classes. 

  • HCC announces seminars for annual Flower & Garden Show

    The Hagerstown Community College Alumni Association will hold its 26th Annual Flower and Garden Show on Saturday, March 14, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday, March 15, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., in the ARCC. More than 150 vendors will take part in the show, named as one of the area’s premier events. Show participants include experts in nurseries, lawn and garden equipment, pottery and statuary, landscaping, tree services, stone products, spas, outdoor furniture, flowers, wild bird products, and natural gourmet gifts from the garden.

  • HCC to host Leadercast Live 2020

    Hagerstown Community College will host a one-day leadership event, entitled “Leadercast Live 2020,” on Thursday, May 7, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., in the Kepler Theater on HCC’s main campus. The event is broadcast live, annually from Atlanta, to hundreds of host sites around the world. Global experts present on one stage to share knowledge and insights from their leadership journeys. Take advantage of early bird ticket pricing now through Tuesday, March 31.

  • HCC to hold ESSENCE information sessions for high school students

    HCC will hold special information sessions for students interested in HCC’s ESSENCE Early College Program on Tuesday, March 10 at 5 p.m.; Friday, April 10 at 10 a.m.; and Tuesday, April 28 at 1 p.m., in the Career Programs Building, rooms 212 to 214. The information sessions are geared towards high school students who plan to enroll in the ESSENCE Program for the upcoming 2020-2021 academic year.

  • HCC’s Robinwood Players to hold variety show on Feb. 28

    HCC's Robinwood Players Theater Club will host a variety show on Friday, Feb. 28, beginning at 7 p.m., in the Black Box Theater in the Kepler Center. The show will feature students performing a diverse array of talents including dancing, singing, musical performances, and more. 

  • Registration now open for HCC’s College for Kids summer program

    HCC will begin another summer of College for Kids programming on June 15. Registration is now open for week-long courses that cover a variety of exciting subjects for students entering second through 12th grades. Of the nearly 90 camps offered, more than 25 are new this summer. 

  • HCC Foundation receives donation from Ronald and Cathy Keyser

    The HCC Foundation recently received a $25,000 donation from Dr. Ronald and Mrs. Cathy Keyser, of Hagerstown, to endow their second named scholarship. The scholarship is open to students that are residents of Washington County, have a 3.0 GPA or higher, have a financial need, and are studying business related majors.
