  • Dead Poets Society Film Showing - Sept. 19-20

    A free showing of Dead Poets Society starring Robin Williams will be held on Friday, Sept. 19, at 7 p.m., and Saturday, Sept. 20, at 2 p.m., in the Behavioral Sciences and Humanities (BSH) Auditorium, room 114. This event is free and is open to students, staff, and faculty.

  • HCC Club Fair - Sept. 18

    The annual HCC Club Fair will be held on Thurs., Sept. 18, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., at the Waltersdorf Quad near the Student Center. This event is free and is open to all HCC students.

  • Mega Job Fair - Sept. 26

    The annual Mega Job Fair will be held on Friday, Sept. 26, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at the Valley Mall in Hagerstown. The event will feature on-the-spot interviews with a number of area employers, resume reviews, and career resources. Free and open to the public.

  • New Continuing Education Business Programs

    HCC’s Continuing Education and Business Services Division meets with local business leaders to develop and deliver programs that keep their employees’ skills sharp. In FY14, Continuing Education delivered many contracted training sections to business clients across the region.

  • Distracted Driver Simulator on Campus - Sept. 11

    On Thursday, Sept. 11, an "Arrive Alive" Distracted Driving Simulator will be on campus from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. outside the Student Center. Any HCC student is welcome to try the simulator, which is intended to show how quickly texting and driving can cause traffic accidents.

  • LSC Writing Workshops - Sept. 16-19

    HCC's Learning Support Center will offer a series of writing workshops on how to properly cite sources in research papers. Workshops will be held from Sept. 16 through Sept. 19 and are open to all currently enrolled credit students.

  • Book Buyback - Extended through Sept. 10

    The textbook buyback has been extended an extra day. Students will also have the opportunity to sell back their books on Wednesday, September 10, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., in the HCC Campus Store.

  • HCC Middle College info session to be held Sept. 10

    (Release: September 3, 2014) – A program information session for the STEMM (science, technology, engineering, math, medical) Technical Middle College at Hagerstown Community College will be held on Wednesday, September 10, from 4 to 6 p.m., in the STEM Building, room 308.

    HCC's Learning Support Center will offer a writing workshop on how to properly cite sources in research papers. Workshop will focus on properly citing sources in MLA, APA, and Chicago styles. Additional topics include integrating sources, formatting in-text citations and footnotes, and creating a Works Cited or Bibliography page.

  • Changes in Nature Opening Reception

    “Changes in Nature,” a clay and mixed media exhibit by artist and adjunct faculty member Erica Kempler, will be on display from Sept. 8 through Sept. 30 in the Kepler Center. An opening reception will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 17, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., in the Kepler Center. This event is free and is open to the public. Refreshments will be served.
