Dawn Nally named HCC Faculty of the Year

Hagerstown Community College recently recognized Dawn Nally, professor of nursing, as the faculty of the year for 2023.

Professor Nally started her career at HCC in 1997 with the mission to inspire the next generation of healthcare professionals. She is known for her innovative teaching methods and her ability to engage students in the learning process. Professor Nally is a respected leader in Washington County having worked at the mass vaccination centers during COVID-19. She is also a current member of the Washington County Commission for Women, the Maryland Nurses Association, the American Nurses Association, and most recently was selected by the County Commissioners, as a member of the Area Agency on Aging Advisory Council.

Professor Nally earned a licensed practical nursing diploma from the Career Studies Center in Maryland and went on to obtain a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from West Virginia University and a Master of Science in Nursing Education (MSN) from Walden University.
