HCC to offer new Nonprofit Management Program

The Workforce Solutions and Continuing Education Division at Hagerstown Community College is offering a new Nonprofit Management Program this September. The four-course series will be offered September 13 to November 1, from 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., every Wednesday, on the HCC campus.

The program is intended for professionals working at a nonprofit. Courses in the series include The Big Picture: Mission, Vision, and Goals; Nonprofit Organizational Tools; Grant Writing; and Building an Engaged Board. All courses can be taken as a series or individually.

“Whether you’re thinking about starting a nonprofit or have been in the business for years, you’ll find new ideas, resources and strategies,” said Judy Chambers, instructor at HCC.

Participants will develop a strategy for implementing new ideas and fine-tuning those tools that are already in place. The cost of the four-course series is $622, and scholarships are available.
