U.S. Navy Commodores to perform July 14 at HCC

The Hagerstown Community College Alumni Association will host the U.S. Navy Commodores as part of its annual Red, White and Blue Summer Concert Series, on Friday, July 14, at 6:15 p.m., in HCC’s Alumni Amphitheater.

The U.S. Navy Commodores feature 18 of the Navy’s premier jazz and big band musicians playing under the direction of MUC Jonathan Barnes, of Dundalk. Since the band’s founding in 1969, the Commodores have played with a variety of well-known jazz musicians including Ray Charles, Branford Marsalis, Clark Terry, Chris Potter, Eddie Daniels, James Moody, and many more. Known for its high energy performances, the Commodores fuse classic jazz and big band music with the popular music of today and frequently perform original compositions.

Sponsored by the HCC Alumni Association, this concert is free and open to the public. Concessions will be available for purchase. Please note that no outside food is permitted on the amphitheater grounds and concerts are subject to change by the U.S. Military. Personal lawn chairs are permitted for lawn seating.
