About Exams
With the exception of ASE, Kryterion, Praxis/GRE, Scantron, and Pearson VUE testing, all testing options listed below include a proctoring fee. The Academic Testing Center charges a standard proctoring fee of $32 to administer a test for any academic institution outside of Hagerstown Community College. However, if a student knows in advance that he/she will require proctoring services from the Academic Testing Center for more than two tests during a semester, he/she has the option to pay a flat semester fee of $80, rather than $32 per test. Students must make testing center staff aware that they intend to take more than two tests during the semester in order to take advantage of the flat $80 fee. The payment options to register online are Visa, MasterCard and Discover. All testing fees are non-refundable.
Accuplacer Remote Location
Given at HCC for students of other colleges for the purpose of providing useful information about your academic skills in math, English, and reading. The results of the assessment, in conjunction with your academic background, goals, and interests, are used by academic advisors and counselors to determine your educational path.
ASE

Certiport
Certiport is a professional vendor for various industry-leading certification providers. HCC currently offers the following Certiport exams:

CLEP
The College Level Examination Program (CLEP) is a national program of credit-by-examination that offers students the opportunity to earn college credit for achievement acquired through previous study, personal experience, adult learning, and other sources.
Please visit http://clep.collegeboard.org/exam-day-info for detailed information on how to pay for your exam(s). Once registered through CLEP, click the registration link below to schedule an appointment to test at Hagerstown Community College. Please remember to bring one form of photo ID and your CLEP Registration Ticket on test day.
DSST
The DSST program is an extensive series of 37 examinations in college subject areas that are comparable to the final or end-of-course examinations in undergraduate courses. ACE recommends three semester hours of credit per test. For more information, visit www.getcollegecredit.com.
GRE
HCC has been approved to offer GRE General Test on select dates/times. Please visit the ETS website for more information and to schedule your appointment. Dates/times are subject to approval by ETS.
Kryterion
Kryterion is a global testing solutions provider for various industry certifications. Please schedule your Kryterion exam by visiting your test sponsor's Webassessor portal and selecting Hagerstown Community College as the testing site.
Meazure Learning
HCC is an approved testing center for Meazure Learning - a full-service certification and licensure testing company. Please visit Meazure Learning's website to view available dates/times and schedule your appointment.
Other Colleges
HCC offers proctoring services to students of other colleges/universities.
Exam materials and instructions can be submitted by your institution via mail or email (testingcenter@hagerstowncc.edu). Note that most institutions require prior approval before submitting exams to a proctor. Check with your institution well before your exam deadline to ensure all the necessary paperwork is taken care of.
