  • HCC closed for Labor Day - Sept. 1

    In observance of Labor Day, HCC will be closed on Monday, Sept. 1. No classes will be held on campus and all administrative offices are closed. The college will reopen on Tuesday, Sept. 2.

  • HCC Cross Country and Track & Field Team Trial - Aug. 30

    HCC students, faculty, alumni, and fans are invited to participate in the HCC Cross Country and Track & Field Team Time Trial on Saturday, Aug. 30, in the ARCC. The HCC campus course is 2.5 miles. Registration begins at 8 a.m., the walk starts at 9:15 a.m., the run starts at 9:30 a.m.

  • Annual Foam Dance Party - Aug. 29

    The Annual Foam Dance Party will be held on Friday, Aug. 29, from 9 p.m. to midnight, in the Student Center. This event is free and is open to all HCC students with a current student I.D.

  • Welcome Back Fun Day - Aug. 28

    The Student Activities Office is holding a Welcome Back Fun Day on Thursday, Aug. 28, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., in the Student Center. The event will feature a photo booth, dunk tank, snow cones, prizes, and more.

  • U.S. Navy Country Current - Aug. 29

    HCC's Alumni Association will host the U.S. Navy Country Current as part of its annual Red, White and Blue Summer Concert Series, on Friday, August 29, 2014, at 6:15 p.m., in HCC’s Alumni Amphitheater.

  • Spots available at Children's Learning Center

    HCC's Children's Learning Center still has openings for pre-kindergarten children for fall 2014. To participate in the class, children must have turned four years old prior to September 2014.

  • Fall Classes - Now in Session

    Fall classes began Aug. 26, 2014. A full list of registration dates and deadlines can be viewed online. Last day to add a class for the full 15-week fall session is Wednesday, Sept. 3.

  • HCC receives grant from National Science Foundation to partner with JHU

    (Release: August 1, 2014) – The National Science Foundation has awarded a $713,996 grant to Hagerstown Community College to support a partnership with the Johns Hopkins University to offer research opportunities and hands-on training to students studying cybersecurity at HCC.

    A transfer advisor from Coppin State @ Hagerstown will be on campus to meet with interested students from 4 to 7 p.m. in the Student Center. No appointment necessary.

  • LSC Writing Workshop

    HCC's Learning Support Center will offer a writing workshop on how to properly cite sources in research papers. Workshop will focus on properly citing sources in MLA, APA, and Chicago styles. Additional topics include integrating sources, formatting in-text citations and footnotes, and creating a Works Cited or Bibliography page.
