  • HCC Middle College info sessions to be held

    (Release: January 6, 2015) – Program information sessions for the STEMM (science, technology, engineering, math, medical) Technical Middle College at Hagerstown Community College will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 21, Wednesday, Feb. 4, and Thursday, Feb. 19, from 4 to 6 p.m., in the STEM Building, room 407.

  • TEDCO to hold update and webinar

    (Release: December 19, 2014) – TEDCO’s Rural Business Innovation Initiative (RBI2) will hold an update and webinar on Friday, Jan. 9, from noon to 4 p.m., in the Elliott Center at Hagerstown Community College. The event is offered free of charge and is open to the public.

  • New Student Orientation - Jan. 8 & 10

    New Student Orientation will be held twice in January. Students can choose one of the following sessions: Jan. 8 or 10. Advance registration required.

  • HCC baseball team donates $500 to Toys for Tots

    (Release: December 18, 2014)— The Hagerstown Community College baseball team donated $500 to the local Toys for Tots campaign on Wednesday, Dec. 17, in the ARCC.

    Like other HCC athletic teams, the baseball team holds multiple fundraisers throughout the year to supplement scholarships and program expenses.

  • HCC’s Nora Roberts Writing Institute renamed Mid-Atlantic Fiction Writers Institute

    (Release: November 1, 2014)— The Nora Roberts Writing institute (NRWI) at Hagerstown Community College was recently renamed the Mid-Atlantic Fiction Writers Institute.

    Held every summer on the campus of HCC, NRWI's first two years featured fantastic weekend writing retreats with sessions taught by bestselling authors and college faculty.


  • Spring Transfer Fair

    The annual Spring Transfer Fair will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Career Programs Building, rooms 211-213. Over 35 regional four-year colleges and universities will be in attendance. This event is free and is open to all HCC students. For more information, contact Chris Baer at

  • LSC Workshop: Final Exam Study Skills

    The Learning Support Center (LSC) will host a free workshop for students. Final Exam Study Skills will help students learn how to effectively organize and review their notes, review their textbooks, create productive study groups, and reduce stress associated with taking tests. The workshop will be held from 9 to 10 a.m. in the Learning Support Center. Advance registration requested.
