  • Campus-wide Moment of Silence in honor of UCC #IamUCC

    Hagerstown Community College will participate in a National Moment of Silence in honor of the victims of the shooting at Umpqua Community College (UCC). All HCC students, faculty, and staff are asked to join in a campus-wide moment of silence on Thursday, October 8, at 2 p.m. 

  • Edgar Allan Poe impersonator at HCC

    Hagerstown Community College is partnering with Maryland Entertainment Group to bring Todd Loughry, Edgar Allan Poe impersonator, for a campus performance on Friday, October 16, at 8 p.m., in the Kepler Center. 

  • Free Technology Information Series for HCC Students

    Hagerstown Community College’s Information Technology (IT) and Learning Technologies (LT) departments will be hosting a free Technology Information Series, “Tech Talks," for HCC students. The series will run in October and November and each session will be from 5:30 to 6:00 p.m. in the Life Skills Lab, located in the Student Center, room 170. 

  • HCC accepts 26 new members into Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society

    Phi Theta Kappa (PTK), the national honor society at Hagerstown Community College, recently accepted 26 new members. To be eligible for PTK, students must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or higher and must have completed 12 credit hours of college-level work at HCC. 

  • Monthly Career Links Workshop Series open to HCC Students and Alumni

    HCC’s Internships and Job Services will be hosting a monthly Career Links Workshop Series, now through April, 2016. The workshops will take place monthly from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m., in the new Life Skills Lab, located in the Student Center, room 170. All HCC students and alumni are welcome to attend the workshop series.

  • HCC to host college fair on October 14

    Representatives from more than 100 colleges, universities, and technical schools in the Mid-Atlantic region will be at the 2015 Washington County College Fair on Wednesday, October 14 from 6 to 8 p.m. in the ARCC to meet with students.

  • HCC to hold campus-wide open house on October 24

    HCC will hold a campus-wide open house on Saturday, October 24, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The event is free and open to the public. Attendees will be able to meet with faculty representing more than 100 programs of study, learn how to plan ahead for college, learn about HCC’s early college for high school students, and tour HCC's campus.

  • HCC Campus Store relocating to the new Student Center

    The HCC Campus Store will be relocating from its current location in the Robinwood Center to the new Student Center on Monday, September 21. The new Campus Store will be located in the Student Center, room 148, across from the Hilltop Grill.

  • HCC Car Show on Oct. 3 postponed due to weather

    Due to the predicted weather forecast, HCC's previously scheduled first annual HCC Cruz In on Saturday, October 3, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m, is canceled and will be postponed until Spring. More details to come later.

  • Robinwood Players Theater Club Meeting

    The Robinwood Players Theater Club meets every other Friday from 12 - 1 p.m. in the Kepler Building dressing rooms. Meetings are used to discuss upcoming events in the club, fundraising ideas, local performances and classes related to the performing arts.
