  • Two HCC students nominated for All-USA Academic Team

    Two Hagerstown Community College students were recently nominated as part of the All-USA/Coca-Cola Community College Academic Team, a program that annually recognizes exceptional students at the nation’s community colleges. This year’s HCC nominees are Khanh (Simon) Huynh and Kristin Pryor-Mauck, both of Hagerstown. 

  • HCC awards management certificates

    The Continuing Education and Workforce Development Division at Hagerstown Community College recently awarded the American Management Association Certificate of General and Human Resource Management to six Fil-Tec employees. 

  • HCC recognized with Champion of Maryland Manufacturing awards

    Hagerstown Community College and members of HCC’s Technical Innovation Center are recipients of the 2016 Champions of Maryland Manufacturing award, given by the Regional Manufacturing Institute of Maryland at a ceremony recently held in Baltimore. 

  • HCC graphic design students get job training

    Three students from Hagerstown Community College’s graphic design program recently completed internships and gained job training at local businesses, including Grace Academy, Anderson Photography, and HCC's Digital Printing and Design Services on campus. 

  • HCC to hold family holiday concert on Dec. 9

    Hagerstown Community College’s Student Government Association will hold its annual Holiday Concert on Friday Dec. 9, from 6:30 to 8 p.m., in the Student Center on HCC’s main campus. The concert will feature carols from around the world by professional musician, Mark Rust.

  • Yale Drive entrance now open

    Hagerstown Community College President Dr. Guy Altieri and several local officials, including U.S. Representative John Delaney, spoke during a ribbon-cutting ceremony on October 25, to officially open the new mile-long road that connects Medical Campus Drive and HCC.

  • HCC students to perform “An Evening of Song and Dance”

    The English and Humanities Division at Hagerstown Community College will hold “An Evening of Song and Dance,” on Saturday, Dec. 10, at 7 p.m., in the Kepler Theater. The event will feature students from HCC’s Dance Company and dance classes. 

  • HCC to hold Red Planet Day on Nov. 28

    Hagerstown Community College’s Student Government Association will hold a Red Planet Day Celebration on Monday, Nov. 28, from 4:30 to 8 p.m., in the Student Center on HCC’s main campus. The event will include a free showing of Ridley Scott’s action film, “The Martian,” starring Matt Damon. There also will be a star gazing presentation, by the TriState Astronomers, to learn how to use a telescope and read the night sky.

  • Winter Break - HCC Closed

    Winter Break begins on Friday, Dec. 22, at 12 p.m. HCC closes at noon and will remain closed through Monday, Jan. 1. No classes will be held and administrative offices will be closed during this time. The college will reopen on Tuesday, Jan. 2, 2018.

    HCC will be closed for Martin Luther King Day on January 15, 2018. No classes will be held and all administrative offices will be closed.

  • Spring Break 2018 - No Classes Held

    Spring Break will be held for faculty and students from March 4 through March 10, 2018. No classes will be held during that time.

    Administrative offices will remain open from March 5 through March 8 of that week, but will close for staff spring break on March 9. The entire campus will be closed on March 9, 2018.
