  • Fall registration now underway

    Registration for fall 2014 classes began April 28, 2014. Search for classes and register online via WebAdvisor. Fall classes start August 26.

  • CREAS Mock Trauma Event - April 12

    (April 1, 2014) - Hagerstown Community College will conduct its annual Criminal Response Emergency Assessment Scenario (CREAS) training event on Saturday, April 12, 2014, beginning at 8:30 a.m., on HCC’s main campus.

  • Relay for Life - April 11

    (March 31, 2014) - The American Cancer Society's "Relay for Life for Washington County Colleges" will be held on Friday, April 11, 2014, beginning at 6 p.m., in the ARCC. Registration is $10. Survivors are celebrated and honored at Relay For Life and can register for free. This event is open to students, staff, faculty, and the public.

  • HCC middle college to receive state award

    (March 28, 2014) - The STEMM Technical Middle College at Hagerstown Community College will receive the 2014 Outstanding Career and Technology Education Program Postsecondary Award of Excellence from the Maryland State Department of Education, at a ceremony in April.

  • HCC to become tobacco-free campus

    (March 28, 2014) - Hagerstown Community College will join other college campuses in the movement to promote healthier working and learning environments, when it becomes a tobacco-free campus, effective January 1, 2015.

  • Middle College Info Session - April 24

    (March 28, 2014) - Program information sessions for the STEMM (science, technology, engineering, math, medical) Technical Middle College at Hagerstown Community College will be held on Thursday, April 24 and Thursday, May 22, 2014, from 4 to 6 p.m., in the STEM Building.

  • Mega Job Fair - April 4

    (March 25, 2014) - The annual Mega Job Fair will be held on Friday, April 4, 2014, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., in the ARCC. This event is free and is open to the public. Dress to impress and bring extra copies of your resume.

  • Student Poster Contest - April 7

    (March 25, 2014) - HCC's Spectrum Club is holding a student poster contest. The design needs to promote the club itself, as well as its weekly meeting time.

  • Why Quilts Matter Documentary - March 27

    (March 24, 2014) - March is Women's History Month. To celebrate, the HCC NOW Club will hold a special showing of "Why Quilts Matter: History, Art and Politics," on Thursday, March 27, 2014, from 11:30 a.m. to 3:45 p.m., in the Student Center.

    Hagerstown Community College will hold a multicultural student information night on Tuesday, May 6, 2014, beginning at 6:30 p.m., in the Elliott Center.

  • Personal Safety Lunch 'n Learn

    The Washington County Sheriff's Department will be conducting a special Lunch 'n Learn on Personal Safety on Tuesday, April 22, from noon to 1 p.m., in CPB-210. Lunch will be provided. This workshop is open to any HCC student or employee and is sponsored by HCC’s Student Nurses Association (SNA) and Student Government Association (SGA).

    HCC students, staff, and employees can enjoy a sing-a-long to Walt Disney's animated classic, Frozen. Free snacks will be provided.   • Kreykenbohm Lecture - Toby Mendez

    Hagerstown Community College will present its annual Kreykenbohm lecture series on Wednesday, April 30, beginning at 7 p.m., in the Kepler Center on HCC’s main campus.

    This year’s lecture will feature Maryland-based sculptor Toby Mendez, who specializes in creating classical figure sculptures with a contemporary edge. The event is free and is open to the public.

  • Student Art Show Opening Reception

    An opening reception will be held on Wednesday, April 30, 2014. The reception will be held the same night as HCC’s annual Kreykenbohm lecture featuring Maryland-based sculptor Toby Mendez. The reception will begin at 5 p.m., and the lecture will follow at 7 p.m. Both events are free and open to the public.
