HCC Fingerprinting Services
HCC fingerprinting services are only available to HCC Students.
The Hagerstown Community College Police Department utilizes a LiveScan Fingerprint system. All fingerprints will be done via electronic submission to the Maryland Criminal Justice System (CJIS) Central Repository. This fingerprint service is available to current HCC students, Monday - Friday by appointment only. If you cannot make it during these hours, special arrangements can be made for later in the evening and on Saturdays. Requests for those hours must be made to the HCC Police Department email camppol@hagerstowncc.edu.
For Fast & Accurate Service:
- You MUST bring a valid form of government photo identification (Examples: driver’s license, passport, Certificate of Naturalization, or military identification).
- Please ensure that you are using the correct Agency Authorization number to ensure the results of your background check are received by the correct Agency.
- Your background is most likely being sent to a licensing board (Maryland Board of Nursing or Maryland Child Care) for you to enter a program or participate in an externship, clinical, or practicum at a healthcare site.
- Print and fill out the State of Maryland Live Scan Pre-Registration Application ahead of time. Please be sure to complete ALL required fields on the form. Make sure you have the correct Agency Authorization number and Maryland ORI number on the form. Bring this form with you on the day of your fingerprint appointment.
- Payment by credit or debit card due at time of service
HCC Student Fee: $45.00
Fingerprinting Service Fees must be paid with a debit or credit card at the time of service.

Additional Information:
Your hand should be clean, without bandages or broken skin. If you have an injury which prevents you from rotating your arm or wrist, please wait until you can do so. During the cold months or if you have dry hands, using a water-based lotion (Cornhuskers) prior to fingerprinting can help. Fingerprinting services should take about 20 to 25 minutes to complete.
