HCC Alumni Association Donates $75K to Name Classroom at New Bowman Training Center

The Hagerstown Community College Alumni Association recently donated $75,000 to the HCC Foundation’s naming campaign for the new D.M. Bowman Family Workforce Training Center on Northern Avenue in Hagerstown, and is the first organization to name a space in the building.

On Friday, June 27, HCC Alumni Association board members visited the new facility and received a tour by HCC President Klauber. The board originally decided to pledge $25,000, but after touring the building, it was decided, through a unanimous vote, to increase the pledge to $75,000 to name the conference center room. This donation will be fulfilled in installments over a five-year period.

The conference space accommodates 225 people and is intended to host graduation ceremonies and other large events.

Proceeds from the D.M. Bowman Naming Campaign will be directed to the HCC Foundation to support student scholarships and equipment needs specific to the D.M. Bowman Family Workforce Training Center.
