HCC Incubator receives grant from First United
The Fletcher Incubators + Labs at Hagerstown Community College has been awarded a $1,000 grant from the First United Community Dreams Foundation to support a new Financial Training for Entrepreneurs program. This financial bootcamp will provide hands-on financial education to more than 20 business incubator members.
The program will offer workshops, one-on-one coaching, and access to financial planning resources. Financial and business development experts will cover topics including, budgeting and cash flow management, accessing capital and credit, tax planning and compliance, and financial forecasting for growth.
“We are incredibly grateful to the First United Community Dreams Foundation for investing in the success of our entrepreneurs,” said Maureen Kolb, business incubator director. “This financial bootcamp will empower our incubator members with the tools and knowledge they need to make smart, strategic decisions that will lead to lasting growth and more resilient businesses right here in our community.”
