Transferring From HCC

Hagerstown Community College has articulation agreements with colleges and universities throughout Maryland and the region. These agreements support seamless transfer by aligning programs and courses, allowing students to apply earned credits toward continued study at partner institutions. Agreements may be searched by discipline or institution.
 
Types of Transfer
University Transfer – Planning a transfer to a four-year university.
Dual Admissions – Receiving coordinated academic support from a four-year university.
Industry/Service (Non-Collegiate) – Preparing to transition into a career or service/technical program.
Reverse Transfer – Apply university credits to complete an associate degree.

Key Transfer Terms to Know
Articulation Agreement – A formal partnership between HCC and a four-year college or university. It maps out the exact courses you must take to seamlessly transfer into a specific major.
Transfer Agreement – A broader agreement that outlines how general education credits or entire associate degrees are accepted by a receiving four-year college or university.
