This pathway provides the training necessary to become a critical healthcare team member. It prepares students to become employed in a hospital or long-term care facility as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and/or Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA). Upon completion, students can apply for the Maryland State Certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and/or Geriatric Nursing Assistant (GNA).

- Medical Terminology
- Essential Concepts: HIPPA, Documentation, Infection Control
- Personal Care Assistance and Practical Skills
Course Requirements:
- Foundations of Healthcare (prerequisite)
- Certified Nursing Assistant Module 1
- Certified Nursing Assistant Module 2
- Certified Nursing Assistant Clinical
Courses must be taken in the order listed above. Successful completion of each course is required to advance through the series.
