Upward Bound Field Trip Registration Form

Upward Bound provides students with educational, cultural, college, and career-related field trip opportunities. Because transportation, reservations, tickets, meals, staffing, and other arrangements may be made based on the number of students who register, it is important that students and families take their field trip commitment seriously.

Cancellation and No-Show Policy

We understand that unexpected circumstances can occur. Upward Bound will consider emergencies and other legitimate circumstances on a case-by-case basis. However, students should not sign up for a field trip simply because they are interested if they are not reasonably certain they can attend. A student who registers for a field trip and does not attend without notifying Upward Bound staff may be considered a no-show.

Because field trips involve limited seats and program expenses, repeated no-shows may result in consequences such as:

• Loss of priority for future field trips.
• Being placed on a waiting list for future trips.
• Temporary restriction from participating in certain optional field trips.
• Other appropriate program consequences determined by Upward Bound staff.

Our goal is not to punish students. Our goal is to ensure that field trip opportunities are available to students who are committed to participating and to avoid wasting limited program resources.
