HCC seeks professional clothing donations for students

Hagerstown Community College’s Career Services office is conducting its annual clothing drive to collect clean, lightly worn, and ready-to-wear professional clothing and accessories. The donated items are made available, free of charge, to students who are preparing for internships and employment opportunities.

Since 2018, the HCC Career Closet has served an average of 350 students annually. Students with the WCPS Marshall Street School Job Development Program assist in the coordination of this annual event.

The clothing drive will continue through March 31, 2027. Acceptable items include jackets, shirts, blouses, skirts, dresses, pants, suits, shoes, ties, scarves, and jewelry/accessories. There is a current need for men’s dress shirts size small and medium. Donation collection boxes are located in Hagerstown at the following locations:

• HCC Main Campus (11400 Robinwood Drive – Administration & Student Affairs (ASA) Building, Career Programs Building (CPB), Kepler Education Center (KEP) and Student Center (STC)
• Robinwood Professional Center Atrium (11110 Medical Campus Rd)
• Washington County Public Schools, Central Office (10435 Downsville Pike)
