May 2025 Graduation at HCC
The 78th Annual Commencement Ceremony will be held at Hagerstown Community College in the Athletic, Recreation and Community Center (ARCC) on Saturday, May 17, at 9:30 a.m.
The annual commencement ceremony is held each May and is presided over by HCC’s President. It is a traditional academic service and signifies the completion of the degree or certificate being awarded. Students completing a degree or certificate program with 30 or more credits are eligible to participate in the commencement ceremony.
Tickets are required for the ceremony, and each graduate will receive seven guest tickets. Once inside the venue, seating is on a first-come, first-served basis. The ceremony will also be available via livestream on HCC’s YouTube channel for those who cannot come to the event.
Only students who have applied for graduation, have met all requirements, and have the approved HCC graduation regalia which includes the designated cap with tassel, gown, and stole, will be permitted to participate in the Commencement Ceremony.
