Registration is now open for fall classes, which begin August 31. Prior to registering for classes, students must have completed an HCC credit application and submitted high school/college transcripts or completed placement tests. Each student will receive an HCC user name and password once accepted, which is required to register. Learn more here.

Fall classes will be held in traditional, online, or hybrid formats. College staff and faculty are working hard to provide a safe and sanitary environment for classes this fall, with plans in place for social distancing and increased online support.

Please be aware that Self-Service (information below) has replaced WebAdvisor for credit classes ONLY. Continuing Education (CE) courses will continue to be listed and managed through WebAdvisor. Scroll down or click for information on WebAdvisor.

Credit Students receiving Financial Aid for the Summer 2020 Semester – Please be aware that withdrawing from all of your classes in the summer 2020 semester could have financial aid ramifications and you could owe money back to the college.  If you have any questions, please contact the Office of Student Financial Aid at before withdrawing from all of your courses.

(NOTE: HCC reserves the right to provide some or all instruction and related academic activities through alternative methods of delivery, including remote delivery. It also reserves the right to change the method of delivery before or during an academic term, in the event of a health or safety emergency or other circumstance, when it determines that such change is necessary or in the best interests of the campus community. Tuition and mandatory fees will not be reduced or refunded if the College changes the delivery method for any or all of an academic session.)

What is Self-Service?

HCC is gradually replacing the WebAdvisor tool with Self-Service, a next-generation platform from Ellucian (Colleague). The Self-Service system encompasses several modules that allow students to plan and register for classes (Student Planning), view their financial aid (Financial Aid), pay their tuition (Student Finance), track their midterm/final grades (Grades), sign up for direct deposit of student refunds (Banking Information), and download various tax forms (Tax Information). Self-Service also displays important notifications to students, such as holds on their account. Although these tools were previously available only through WebAdvisor, all of these have been (or will be) redirected to Self-Service. All students should be encouraged to begin using Self-Service since WebAdvisor will be eventually phased out.

Log-in to Self-Service by entering your User ID and password. If you do not know your User ID or password, please contact the IT department or visit the Password Change/Reset Page.

WebAdvisor Access

WebAdvisor may be accessed during the following hours:

  • Monday - Saturday: 6 a.m. - Midnight
  • Sunday: 6 a.m. - 9 p.m.

What is WebAdvisor?

WebAdvisor is HCC's course scheduling and registration software. You do not have to be logged-in to search for courses.

After Creating an Account on WebAdvisor, You Can:

  • Check open and closed courses (go to “Search for Classes”)
  • Print a copy of your schedule (go to “My Schedule”)
  • Access your grades as soon as they are verified (normally 3-5 days after the end date of the term)(go to “My Grades”)
  • Register for Continuing Education classes (go to the “Continuing Education” menu – please note: immediate payment required)

First-Time Users

Upon successfully logging-in for the first time, or after your password is reset, you will be told immediately that your “password has expired." Please select a new one according to the directions.

Returning Users
